Despite losing in the semi-finals to Carlos Alcaraz, veteran Novak Djokovic (38) surprised the New York crowd with his talent and his almost unrivalled level of play. Some experts noted that this is the first time since 2002 that Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic have been absent from a Grand Slam final.
